Education is the movement from darkness to light ~ Allan Bloom

Quality Education

is one of the United Nations 17 sustainable development goals. It ensures that the people on the planet obtain the hard skills in order to gain a favorable literate position in the world- securing education at an early age.

Quality Education

requires that elementary, secondary, university, and industrial vocational training are options to pursue in securing one's education.

Quality Education

hones the softer skills of educational learning so that people can develop themselves to care for themselves and especially, those most vulnerable. Bush education adds another dimension to educating one's self in order to develop, not only intellectually, but wholistically.

Quality Education

is designed to create an environment where all can live in peace and harmony for all times. Observing the laws of nature is the kind of education well sought after globally and the kind of education that KEC must support and promote’

BUSH is......

....the love for all things natural, nature, plant.

BUSH is......

....living a minuscule memorable childhood life on a small bayside, on a small island in the Caribbean sea named ballast bay and cane garden bay ocean view that gave a sense of place in the world and what is truly meaningful.

BUSH is......

... the modern day minimalist culture framed from those years long ago with the message to embrace  the simple, rustic, antiquity  coal pot, one-room dwelling, oil lamp, three stone, maiden apple bush that tamed heat rash, and lantern, torchlight,  mortar pestle, brick oven, stone-jacks play, corned meat on fence, bed lodgings, cocoa tea and bang bang,  the round aluminum  tub, and the gut where you bathe naked free.

  BUSH is......

.....a four-year-old child’s solo struts up the hill, down and around a two-mile stretch to run a grocery errand for mami, next bay over, returning Unharmed with no threat of danger.  the village raises the children

BUSH is......

.... mule ride transportation to  carrot bay, or just the usual walk where you have to go

BUSH is......

...... carrying water, from standpipe on top of the head, a daily chore, but  child’s play racing with water in your bucket with friends and not spilling any

BUSH is......

......unconventional village parent-upbringing, all looks after the child

BUSH is......

.....the dogon who fuel our thoughts about the larger context of a bush. The indigenous Dogon of  Mali revere bush yet fears it.  There exist the contrast of village experience, the city experience, the experience of habituating a dwelling and then bush.  Bush is positive yet negative.

BUSH is.....

Imagine

By Keketso Motale

Imagine a world in which people have control over their own realities

A world where people are co-creators of their everyday existence

A place where people are nurtured from young to tap into their own spiritual gifts

And develop them as they grow into adulthood

Imagine a place where knowing yourself and developing your own gifts are your focus of attention

Not external ideals and concepts to believe in

Always being taught that everything you need to know already exists inside you

And your mission is to remember these vital teachings

Imagine growing up in a place where you are encouraged to develop your own divinity

A place which allows you to see what you are capable of

Surrounded by communities that recognise that everyone is here to fulfil their own unique purpose

And supports those along their spiritual paths

Imagine a place where the spiritual world plays as much importance as the physical world

A place where people openly acknowledge and respect the unseen forces

And continually work to maintain a spiritual balance in their lives

Understanding that all aspects of creation are equally important, each with their own unique characteristics

Imagine a world where nature is respected and revered for all its life-giving properties

A place where the rivers are pure, the air is clean and the foods are natural

A world where the nature spirits live in harmony with the population

And a balanced symbiotic relationship exists among the two

Imagine you didn’t have to imagine…
